When the first snow falls, the valley turns into a winter wonderland. The ski resorts in Kranjska Gora and Podkoren are perfect for families and recreational skiers, while cross-country skiers will enjoy the groomed trails in Rateče, Planica, and Radovna.
If you want something different, you can try snowshoeing in Kranjska Gora, which takes you through snowy forests, or go ice climbing in Mojstrana or ski touring, both of which we recommend experiencing with a guided tour.
For those seeking longer trails and diverse skiing challenges, we recommend visiting neighboring ski resorts. In Austria, there is the Gerlitzen ski resort (just a 1-hour drive away) with breathtaking views of Lake Ossiach. You can also visit the Nassfeld ski resort (Mokrine), offering 110 km of slopes and 24 mountain huts and restaurants.
For a relaxed Italian atmosphere, we suggest the nearby Višarje – Monte Lussari ski resort, which you can even see from the window of your suite.
